Lopburi is one of Thailand's oldest towns, prominent in the Dvaravati and Khmer eras and later King Narai's second capital in the 17th century. It is famous for the Khmer-style Phra Prang Sam Yot, King Narai's Palace and the monkeys roaming the old town. Beyond town lie Pa Sak Jolasid Dam and sunflower fields that bloom from about November to January.
